PRESS AND CRITICS

On Sunday, the Maestro Gianluigi Dettori and the exuberant Orchestra Nova Amadeus seized the entire set, transforming it into 20 minutes of vibrant and carefree fun. The bourrée was irresistibly inviting, the famous pizzicati continued to crackle merrily, the sarabande shamelessly tugged at the heartstrings, and the finale concluded the joyous ride. In the end, everyone had definitely had a great old time (Luminaria – Vallini, Britten & Rheinberger – 28/11/21, Orchestra Nova Amadeus, Gianluigi Dettori: Conductor, Stefano Vasselli: Organ).

The first evening of the 31st edition of Civitafestival got off to a great start, with the performance of the Scarlatti Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Gianluigi Dettori and the child prodigy of the piano Edoardo Riganti Fulginei, with an exciting concert entirely dedicated to L. Van Beethoven” (Moondo, July 11, 2019)

“The ceremony …. it took place before the highly acclaimed concert for piano and orchestra, offered as part of the “L’altra Villa” event promoted by Villa Bertelli. From the audience, standing ovation for the very young pianist Edoardo Riganti Fulginei and for the Scarlatti Symphony Orchestra, masterfully directed by Maestro Gianluigi Dettori” (Lucca Live, 8 July 2019)

“The opening concert was exciting (already sold out in the weeks immediately preceding) for the high performance that literally captivated the audience, even the least prepared and most worldly, with the soloist Masha Diatchenko and her virtuosity warmed by the enveloping line of the Orchestra of the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca conducted by a very concentrated and expressive Gianluigi Dettori. Very long applause already for the famous Overture of Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra which preceded Paganini’s La Campanella, Masha Daichenko’s encore with Capriccio n.13 also by Paganini and the second part of the evening with Felix Mendelssohn’s L’Italiana which the composer wrote in Italy recalling its sounds. (Il secolo XIX, 5 July 2018)

“The evening featured one of the absolute masterpieces of sacred music. A secular but profoundly spiritual vision in which Verdi acted as a listener on the mystery of life and death. An interpretation that convinced everyone. Excellent quality of execution and great emotional impact.” (TG BergamoTV, 20 May 2018)

“The director Gianluigi Dettori, at the head of the excellent ensemble I Solisti dell’Orchestra Sinfonica dei Colli Morenici, concerted with appropriate style, providing a sparkling reading and a musical panache suitable for the interludes, which in this case are characterized by pleasant comedy and irony theatricality” (Lukas Franceschini, Bellininews, 23 September 2017)

“The executive side could count on the management of Gianluigi Dettori who, in Hasse’s work, used the critical edition edited by Claudio Toscani. Leading the Soloists of the Colli Morenici Symphony Orchestra, the director therefore approached the scores with all the indispensable philological trappings, guaranteeing a reading that had the brilliance and flexibility that befit scores of this kind. The relationship established with the singers is also balanced and vital, induced to support their respective roles with stylistic propriety” (www.connessiall’opera.com, 10 September 2017)

“The evening saw the orchestra perform a program of Italian opera music, from Donizetti to Verdi. Around 600 spectators praised the magistrate-musician with enthusiasm and prolonged applause while waiting for the encore.” (Bergamonews, 9 December 2016)
