Expert connoisseur of the lyric repertoire, Gianluigi Dettori began his activity as conductor since 1986, and has worked with important Italian and foreign orchestras: the Asti Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Bellini Theater in Catania, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Sinfonietta (Berlin), the Zhambyl State Orchestra of Almaty (Kazakhstan), the Teatro del Giglio Orchestra (Lucca), the Colli Morenici Symphony Orchestra (Mantua), the Symphonic Orchestra Nova Amadeus (Rome), the Opera Symphony Orchestra (Milan), the Italian Symphony Orchestra (OFI – Piacenza), the Orchestra of the “Donizetti” Conservatory of Bergamo, the Abruzzese Symphony Orchestra (Pescara), the Venice Chamber Orchestra (Venice), the Imola Chamber Orchestra (Imola, Bologna), the “Scarlatti” Orchestra (Pistoia), the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra (OFB – Benevento), the Franciacorta Philharmonic Orchestra (Chiari – Brescia), the Carmine Orchestra (Florence), the Symphony Orchestra ” Guido d’Arezzo” (Melzo-MI), the siynphony orchestra “Marzocchi” di Civitacastellana (VT), the National Band of to the Italian Finance Police, the Schola Cantorum Labronica (Livorno), the “Carissimi Choir”(Brescia), the” G. He has participated in important festivals and conducted in prestigious theaters: Donizetti Theater in Bergamo, Bellini Theater in Catania, Social Theater in Bergamo, Sanremo Casino Theater, Almathy National Theater (Kazakhstan), St. Paul Church (Berlin) Verdi Theater (Fiorenzuola d’Arda), Conservatory Concert Hall of “B. Marcello “in Venice, Vatican Radio concert hall in Rome (in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI), Vicenza in Lirica Festival, Portofino International Festival, Civita Festival, Perosi Festival in Tortona, Bergamo Cathedral, Church of S. Alessandro in Colonna in Bergamo, Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi, Basilica of St. Peter within the Walls in Rome, and others.

He has collaborated with important international artists (such as the soprano Dimitra Theodossiu, the tenor Ivàn Ayon Rivas, the mezzo soprano Anastasia Boldyreva and the violinists Masha Diatchenko, Francesco Trematore e Sebastian Zagame) paying particular attention to the promotion of young talents (such as the pianist Edoardo Riganti Fulginei, 14 y.o.) and to new voices already debuting in prestigious theaters such as the Scala in Milan or the Teatro Puccini in Torre del Lago (the tenor Francesco Pittari, the tenor Vitaly Kovalchuk).

He has conducted some world first performance: the song for the soundtrack “Discover” by Giovanni Vincenzi and the liric opera “Il Giudice Rosario Livatino. Sub tutelage Dei ”by Matteo Musumeci, as well as recently the first performance of Lorenzo Lorenzo Perosi’s suite “Roma ”, never performed before.

 

He studied composition at the Cagliari Conservatory with Maestro Angelo Guaragna and with Maestro Emilio Capalbo, graduated in conducting with Maestro Marco Boni (honorary director for life of the Concertgebow Chamber Orchestra) at the International Academy of Imola, and obtained an academic diploma in orchestra conducting with honors (110 /110 cum laude) at the Cagliari Conservatory, specializing in the symphonic and operatic repertoire with Maestro Lior Shambadal (Berliner Sinfoniker), Maestro Francesco Lanzillotta (musical director of the Sferisterio theater in Macerata), Maestro Fabrizio Maria Carminati (artistic director of the Bellini theater in Catania and former artistic director in Verona ), Maestro Abzal Mukhidin (principal conductor of the Astana theater – Kazakhstan), Maestro Bruno Santori (former artistic director of the Sanremo Philharmonic Orchestra), Maestro Roberto Paternostro (musical director of the Israel Chamber Orchestra), Maestro Elisabetta Maschio , Maestro Antonino Fogliani (artistic director of the Wilbad Rossini Festival and main guest conductor in the Deutsche Opera am Rhein Dusseldorf), Maestro Sergio Monterisi (main conductor of Nice Opera) and as auditor at the Muti Opera Academy in Ferrara with Maestro Riccardo Muti.

He has released a CD with the performance of G. Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” for the types of Wall records.

In 2023 he was appointed principal conductor of the Nova Amadeus Orchestra in Rome.
